We at FennoSteel are famous for our strict approach to quality. Due to our quality operations, our product development, manufacturing and logistic operations are all ISO 9001 certified.
The core of our operations is in reproduceable quality and controlled manufacturing. Diverse tools, jigs and clearly defined work phases ensure that each product meet the client and standard requirements set for it.
We thrive in constant development. We actively utilise our developmental observations directly in improving our manufacturing and processes. Our uncompromised quality is a result of our employees’ attitudes, and is realised in long-term client relationships and company growth.
Even Finnish environmental sustainability efforts require action
At FennoSteel, environmental sustainability is visible in real actions in production. Steel is a highly recyclable material. In practice, all waste material resulting from manufacturing is recycled, unless we are able to use it ourselves. Different grades of steel are carefully sorted, improving the reuse of the materials.
We optimise our use of materials by manufacturing tubes directly from the steel roll, minimising the creation of waste significantly. In addition, we use carbon-neutral electricity and our energy-efficient fleet of machines enable the minimisation of cooling needs and consumption of electricity. In this way, our total emission supports further green transition. We also track and reduce our carbon footprint actively via our selection of material. We are able to offer solutions that utilise steel solutions from recycled materials, enabling steel tube products with 70 per cent less emission. We have defined the direct emission of our exhaust products (Scope1) and energy procurement emission (Scope2), as well as other indirect emissions (Scope3) in straight steel tubes. Success is built by a healthy work place
Occupational safety and the well-being of our approx. 100 employees is a key part of our sustainability. We monitor the working conditions, identify risk factors and improve our working environment actively. We use a low-threshold system for reporting safety observations, and close calls are regularly monitored. Our goal is to prevent accidents and improve long-term working abilities.
We also invest in work ergonomics, occupational health services and practices that support employee well-being, so that our work is safe and sustainable in the long run. We also utilise a Whistleblowing channel, where our employees can made confidential reports on unethical operations or suspected misconduct.
Quality and sustainability while looking ahead to the future
FennoSteel also operates in a responsible way as a part of a larger ecosystem. We take care of our subcontractors’ legal obligations and work together with educational institutions to ensure skills continue to grow in the future.
For us, sustainability means continuously improving our production, environmental impact and people’s well-being that is built on a strong foundation.
